Let no one ever claim that relationships lose their spark over time. Our relationship with the taut shelf certainly hasn't.

And Wolfgang Laubersheimer, who developed the shelving unit in the early 1980s, still produces the tensioned shelf by hand. He even leaves his signature on one of the shelves. The characteristic steel cable of this design classic is by no means decorative; it provides tension and stability. After all, anyone can do straight.

Wolfgang Laubersheimer, a member of the Pentagon group, designed the tensioned shelf in the 1980s as a counter-movement to the dictates of good design. The use of untreated steel with visible weld points was a completely new and largely unknown approach at the time.

We regularly ship via DHL, UPS, or the freight forwarder Rhenus, depending on the size and weight of the shipment. Unfortunately, we cannot influence the exact delivery time. If Rhenus is handling the delivery, they will usually contact you to arrange a delivery date.

Please note that delivery is only made to the curb. Furniture is usually not carried into the apartment (although we have heard of a customer bribing a driver to do so). The shipping company cannot be held responsible for the disposal of packaging and any disposable pallets.
